      The Newbold House,

Do you see the dark candy cane stripes on the upper floors of this picture?

They do not exist   What are they and where do they come from? What do they mean? My sweet of offices is located on the 3rd floor, the roof area on both sides of the upper most window  are where my research office is and where my wife's psychotherapy office is located. The center window with the line going through it on the second floor is a bathroom.  We have many EVP recordings from the 3rd floor that I will be posting here.  I can tell you that I feel very comfortable  in this building. I know it is inhabited with many spirits, but they all are very friendly  and curious about what is going on in the building itself.

ANSWERS

The photo above of my office was resized to fit the screen. If it were to be enlarged to its 10 megpix size, those lines would virtually disappear. What are they? They are the vertical  joints of the siding on the house. Contractors today try to make those joints random so from a distance you cant see a pattern like you do here.  All too often in the field of Parapsychology, researchers try to explain events and activities based on what is seen. Your sight, or what you perceive to see is based on your life experiences. Every thing you have ever heard, smelled, tasted, felt, or seen is all stored in your consciousness for future reference. If you were to sense something new, you would automatically be comparing it against something you were familiar with as a way to identify with that experience you are now having with the new. In so doing, your mind dose play tricks on you by distorting the incoming information in an attempt to make sense of it with references to your past experiences. So where dose that leave us? A researcher must view all phenomenon 360 degrees and from all angles. They must except any  paranormal activity as if it were normal and then try to determine the who, what, were, how, and why after the event referring to their equipment, and notes. That is to say" don't make a mountain out of a mole hill. On the other hand, many paranormal events are overlooked every day by all of us because our senses do play tricks on us and we just automatically explain events away because they don't fit any of our models of normalcy.
